Organ scandal in China

Chinese seek answers in organ scandal (AP)

Wu Junjie stands outside the Shaanxi provincial high court during a visit to Xi'an, China Feb. 1, 2007. Wu and her mother have been seeking answers about the death of Wu's brother Wu Zhenjiang since he was executed in 2005. They believes Wu Zhenjiang's body was stripped of its organs for use in transplants, after he was executed for killing a man in a knife fight. The family have been searching for answers ever since - their persistence shedding light on one of China's darkest practices - the taking of organs taken from executed prisoners for transplant surgery.
