McGowan ate the dog to raise awareness of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) failure to prosecute a group of people who shot and killed a fox in January.(AFP/File/Carl de Souza)AFP - In a dispatch sent on May 29, Agence France Presse wrote that Yoko Ono, the widow of ex-Beatle John Lennon, was present on a radio show where a British artist and animal rights activist ate a corgi dog in protest after a group, including Queen Elizabeth II's husband Prince Philip, allegedly killed a fox earlier this year.
